After successful completion of the Program, students are able to:
- Participate in business and academic exchanges;
- Use professional journals to gather information;
- Handle typical social interactions confidently; and
- Write routine correspondence.
Upon entrance to EARTH, students begin courses after being placed into groups based on their English proficiency level. Students receive a total of nine trimesters of English courses spanning all four years of study. In addition to the academic courses, students can participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities that encourage practice of the English language. The University also offers language lab facilities where students can use personal computers and innovative software to increase their exposure to English, improve their overall proficiency, and take responsibility for their own language training.
Students are assessed on an ongoing basis and are formally evaluated in oral communication, listening comprehension, reading and writing at the end of each trimester.
To compete in the global market, business leaders must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse audience. The development of English language proficiency is an essential tool for EARTH graduates’ future success.
