At EARTH we work to strengthen the leaders of tomorrow, but leaders are not just our students, they are individuals around the world who are willing to take action to make a difference. You can be one of those individuals. By volunteering to support EARTH- through your donations, through your time- you are taking a step to create change in the world. By educating your friends and family about EARTH you are helping to spread our message of sustainable solutions for a better future. Check out the ways you can volunteer below.

 

Host an Event
EARTH University Foundation relies on the support of individuals like you to raise awareness and donations for EARTH. You can host an event to share information about EARTH with your friends and family.

 

Consider hosting a potluck dinner in your home, school, workplace or congregation. Ask participants to each bring a dish from a different country represented at EARTH. Make sure to use some organic produce! Use the diverse foods as a platform to discuss EARTH’s impact around the world.

Organize a fundraiser for EARTH University Foundation. Ask local restaurants that offer organic foods to donate part of their sales for a selected evening. Be sure to invite your friends and family to dine out, sharing with them the advances EARTH is making in sustainable farming.

Tierra Program
Do you feel inspired by the work of EARTH students and alumni? EARTH University Foundation has created the Tierra Program to allow EARTH supporters to be active in their local communities in the name of EARTH. Tierra members plan volunteer days, informational events and even fundraisers all in the name of EARTH.

 

Launched in 2008 as the first Tierra group, Tierra Atlanta participates in monthly events. On the second Saturday of every month Tierra members team up with an Atlanta based volunteer organization to give back to their local community; planting trees, cleaning parks, manning soup kitchens and much more. Members have also organized informational events at venues like the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, learning about sustainability both in Atlanta and around the world. Learn at EARTH
EARTH University accepts around 115 full time students each year, many of them from rural or disadvantaged areas. Over the years EARTH has recognized that its programs can be adapted for multiple audiences. EARTH offers several opportunities for its supporters to visit campus and learn alongside EARTH students. Visitors can take classes on EARTH technologies, explore the on-site nature preserve, and learn about the daily lives of our students. eBay Giving Works
As you begin your spring cleaning this year, we would like to invite you to become part of the EARTH University Yard Sale. Through our participation in eBay Giving Works EARTH is proud to offer its supporters the chance to make a difference in the world while cleaning out their closets and garages. eBay Giving Works offers an easy way for you to donate through the proceeds of items sold on eBay.

 

1. Click this link to visit the EARTH University Foundation page on eBay where you can purchase and sell items that will benefit EARTH.

 

2. To sell items, click the sell link and follow the prompts. It is easiest to use the site if you have a pre-existing eBay account. If you do not have an account, the site will provide you instructions for setting one up.

 

3. You will be prompted to donate from 10-100% of the sale price of the items you list for EARTH. This will occur at the end of the listing process, in the "Choose how you'd like to sell your item" area.

 

4. Sell your item! Once someone purchases your item, eBay will send the donation to us and any remaining money to you. You will receive a tax receipt for the amount of the donation - it's that easy! For a more detailed explanation of the eBay Giving Works program, click here.

 

If you do not have any items to sell, feel free to take a look at the items available, you never know what you might find. The staff at EARTH University Foundation has joined in the fun, donating 100% of the proceeds from items they had planned to sell this year.

 

hThis program is a great way for you to support EARTH Unviersity while being sustainable. You can help the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling. By selling your items through eBay to benefit EARTH you are reducing waste while supporting the agents of change at EARTH who are focused on creating a more sustainable world for all of us.

 

The site will be available year round so feel free to visit often to either buy or sell items - and keep an eye out for hints when really great items might be available.
